HOW IT WORKS · WALKTHROUGH 4 OF 6
Sign in with a digital identity wallet
The identity comes from a trusted third party: a wallet issued by a country or an ecosystem. The platform checks what the wallet presents; it does not make it up.
Sketch of the screen, not a capture. Screen labels appear exactly as the product shows them.
Connect the wallet
In Who you are, under Your wallet, Pepe chooses Connect your wallet. If he signed in a while ago, the page first asks for his current password.
You have no wallet connected yet.
Connect your walletA code appears
He scans the code with his wallet, or opens the wallet on the same device. The page updates when he answers.

The wallet asks, Pepe decides
The wallet shows what is being asked and Pepe approves it there. The page then lists what was shared and what was asked and not shared. The attributes depend on the wallet.

The platform checks and connects
It checks the credential and that its issuer has not revoked it, and it keeps only a fingerprint of the wallet's identifier, never the identifier itself. The screen shows the issuer and the dates, and the level always next to the environment.
Ways you prove who you are
Sign out and come back with the wallet
Later, Pepe chooses the wallet button on the sign-in screen, scans the code and is in. The button's wording follows the wallet ecosystem the installation offers.
Pepe is in, with the same account.
What stays: how he identified himself
In the evidence of each signature the record says how the person proved who they are and at which level. In a test environment the signing page also says so, in plain words.
